The 2022 Navy Bike ride jerseys feature the admiralty disruptive paint pattern used on RCN war ships in the Second World War, also known as dazzle paint.

The striking colours and disruptive lines were a form of camouflage that made targeting more difficult and disrupted the ability of enemy submarines to accurately track ships. Each ship had its own unique pattern, making it harder to identify classes of ships based on physical markings, and it was believed that dazzle paint helped mask a ship’s speed and distance.

In 2020, Her Majesty’s Canadian Ships (HMCS) Regina and Moncton donned the historic paint scheme to mark the 75th anniversary of the end of the Battle of the Atlantic, and Moncton continues to wear it.

*Jerseys are not included in your event registration as this is a free event, however you may opt to purchase a jersey separately**
